I send salutations to all my crafty persons!
Another festive Halloween card has been created in my crafty space. I was quite busy this past weekend I must say!
Here it is:
Actually I ended up adding a sentiment & bling to it, but the above photo really shows off the really nice distress ink blend that I achieved! I blended milled lavender, wilted violet, seedless preserves, chipped sapphire, and black soot to get these results. The blending was done on a sheet of Ranger distress watercolor paper. I had an 'oopsie' on the other side and did not want to waste the paper, so I figured if I blended a dark blend on the opposite side, it would not show thru. It worked quite well and my 'oopsie' turned into a 'HECK YES' moment!
I splattered some white gold (No. 906) from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi starry colors palette onto the panel in addition to some water droplets. Then I matted it onto a dark purple A2 vertical card base.
The twisted tree oval die was cut from Neenah 80# cardstock and so were the whittle ghosts. Both of those dies are from #Poppystamps. Aren't they adorbs?! I think so and they pair so nicely together!
Copic markers were used on the oval frame: BV17, BV34, E47, E89, & C10. Just some simple coloring for a big impact! Or should I say, spooky impact!
I kept all the pieces together with some washi tape on the back and then popped it up with foam tape. I popped up the ghosts with foam dots.
Happy Haunting mix from Little Things from Lucy's cards embellishments were used all over the panel to keep the chills coming.
I finished off the card with three simple words (eek, chills, boo) that I had embossed onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. These words are from a Whimsy Stamp set called You're my Boo. I trimmed the words because I could not bear to cover up anymore of the wonderful spooky background! Here is the finished card:
Thanks for popping on over here today to see my post! I hope you enjoyed it. I sure do ENJOY having you here, so I can spread some crafty (HALLOWEEN) cheer!
Crafty hugs and Cheers! LIZARD xo
