CAUTION, BOO!
Well hello there my cautionary peeps! I say that because my card today is full of caution, danger, & beware of what is ahead!
Shaker bits, bats, a spider, boo, and Drac! Here is my card:
This card is shaking with excitement! HA! I crack myself up; but seriously. Here is how I did it!
If I remember correctly, I used the black and lime Altenew H2O brush markers on some watercolor paper to create the background. I just dropped it on, after wetting the paper, and swirled it around with a clean brush to sorta mix the colors about. I let it dry.
The next step was to use the Whimsy stamps slimline marquee die to cut several layers of my orange papers. If you peek really closely, you can see some polka dots peeping thru. I glued them together to build up enough space for the bits to shake about freely & added the foam to the back of the frame. {DON'T forget to apply the anti-static tool to your foam on your shaker! It helps the bits slide better!}
I only put the acetate on the top and bottom holes/frame parts of the die; and I did this because I only had a small bit of acetate left! (Time to order more crafty goodies!!!)
Then I put my shaker bits onto the acetate, and used scor-tape to attach the gr/black panel. I put stars, sequins, black & orange jewels, and some seed beads into the mix.
I had found some of this caution washi tape in my stash, I think it is from a Kindred Stamps kit from last year; and I added it onto the card like it was a crime scene. I ended up gluing the washi tape onto the back of the card to make sure it stayed in place and did not peel off.
The bat was glued on flat to the acetate and the bat was popped up on a few foam squares. I also layered the bat three times since it was kind of recessed in that middle portion of the card. I put my shaker onto some green cardstock that I cut with Kat Scrapiness distress edged dies and then layered it onto some dark brown paper before adding it to a black slimline card base.
Lastly,. I added some sequins to the outside of the card and my cautionary tale was complete!
