Good Morning my dear crafty friends! It has been a hot minute since I was last over here sharing my creations.
Today's share is one near and dear to my heart--this is a birthday card I created for my mother, who turned 90 years old on the 9th of July!
She has finally received her special card so let me tell you how I created this white on white beauty!!!
First I took the Arched Lattice - Circles Metal Craft Die from This Calls for Confetti with a sheet of Neenah 80lb weight white paper and die cut it in my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting machine.
Then holding the die cut over the trash can I punched out all of the circles. I glued it to a vertical card base, [made with the same Neenah white 80 lb paper] with Bearly Art Preision Craft Glue. Some of the little pieces got stuck in the die so I had to glue those in seperately. Isn't this intice die just stunning?! I think so. 🤍
Next, I took the Alice's Story - Honeysuckle stamp and using my platform stamper, inked up the honeysuckle with Versamark ink. I stamped three to five images of the honeysuckle and then coated the ink with Ranger Silver embossing powder. (I stamp a few extra in case they do not turn out to my satisfaction ;)!)
Then, I used my heat gun to set the powder. I always emboss from the back so that the paper curls less. Another tip when heat embossing, let your gun warm up. That also helps the paper not to curl! Then I took the Alice's Story - Honeysuckle corresponding dies, and cut out my images. I also cut a small 🤍heart for an accent.
***Up above you can see how well the stamp works with the die and how it cuts out all of the sentiments at once! I am using a blue paper here with a blue ink, so it is easier to see.***
I also took the Alice's Story Birthday Sentiments and stamped all of those in my stamping platform. There are 15 sentiments that you can stamp at once! So easy to do. There are two other stand alone sentiments in that set and of course, I stamped them as well. I used the Versarmark ink again and the same silver embossing powder so that my card would be cohesive.
Second to last, I used foam tape to pop up one of the honeysuckle and glued the other one directly to the card. Also, I gued the sentiment down after centering it at the bottom of the arch.
My final accents are the Iridescent Dew Drops placed into the center circle of each exposed circle. I used my tweezers and the Bearly Art Glue to secure each drop. Viola! A finished card for birthday celebration.
Hopefully this new Arched Lattice Die set (there is also a stencil available!) has inspired your creativity today. Craft on peeps!
With Crafty hugs, Love, LIZARD🦎xoxo
