HAPPY HARVEST

 Good morning peeps!  I send you crafty salutations today!  It is the first of October and boy does the year seem to be flying by, but not at the same time.  I bet some of you know what I mean.

My card today, features the twisted tree oval die & whittle pumpkins dies from Poppystamps. I also used the slimline connected bubble die from Whimsy Stamps.  Here is my card:

I started out by inking up the panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with some seedless preserves and wilted violet distress inks.  I edged the panel with some black soot to darken it up.  {When I blend, I use a combination of makeup brushes I got off of Amazon and some of the Ranger ink blending tools (the ones with the circle foam that Velcro onto the wooden handled tool).}
Then I splattered some Kuretake Gansai Tambi starry colors upon my panel.  I used the yellow gold (No. 903).
To finish off my panel, I used my die cutting machine to emboss the bubble connected die into the paper.

I die cut the oval tree frame and the whittle pumpkins and started to color them in.  I used a variety of browns, orange-reds, yellow, and orange colors to color in the two die cuts.  I am sorry I did not make a note of which colors I specifically used on these dies but just use your favorite colors to re-create this eerie scene!
Next, I placed some foam tape onto the back of the oval die frame.  I had to snip tiny, thin pieces to place it onto behind some portions of the branches.  It was white based foam tape and therefore some of the white was peeking through. To fix this, I colored the foam with my Copic C10 marker.
The next step was to add the pumpkins!  They are so funny, or maybe they are phunny!  Either way, I glued most of them down directly onto the card and popped up one and part of another for some added interest.
The sentiment was heat embossed in white upon a strip and I cut it out and glued it to the card.  Lastly, I added the Studio Katia iridescent bubbles & some random sequins onto my card.  The bubbles pick up the color beneath it, so some of them look darker.  Kinda cool!

Here again is my finished card:

Thanks for dropping on by and hopefully saying hi!
Cheers and crafty hugs!  LIZARD xo
